One thing our family does well:
Something I appreciate about my family:
A strength we have as a family:

☐ Playing a game
☐ Sharing something positive about your day

Something I'm feeling is:
Something I'm grateful for is:

Something I'm looking forward to is:
PAGE 2 — COMMUNICATION & BOUNDARIES
🗣️ TALK WITH RESPECT
Healthy communication means making room for everyone's voice.
Try to:
Listen before responding.
Ask questions instead of assuming.
Speak about the problem instead of attacking the person.
Use “I” statements.
Give each other time to process.
Instead of:
“You never help around here!”
Try:
“I'm feeling overwhelmed and could use some help with the household responsibilities.”
🌸 THE POWER OF “I” STATEMENTS
Use this simple formula:
I feel...
When...
I need/would appreciate...
Example:
“I feel overwhelmed when the house isn't picked up. I would appreciate it if we could work together to create a plan.”
My “I” statement:
🚧 HEALTHY FAMILY BOUNDARIES
Boundaries help family members understand what is acceptable, expected, and respectful.
Healthy boundaries may include:
- Respecting privacy
- Asking before borrowing belongings
- Allowing appropriate personal space
- Respecting different opinions
- Saying no when necessary
- Sharing responsibilities
- Respecting schedules and personal time
A boundary that would benefit our family:
How can we communicate this boundary respectfully?
How can we respect each other's boundaries?
🧘 WHEN FAMILY CONFLICT HAPPENS
Conflict is a normal part of family life.
When emotions become intense, consider taking a pause.
STOP & RESET
S — Stop and pause.
T — Take a breath.
O — Observe what you are feeling.
P — Proceed when you're ready to communicate respectfully.
A healthy pause might sound like:
“We're both upset right now. Let's take some time to calm down and talk about this later.”
Something that helps me calm down:

🤝 SOLVING PROBLEMS AS A TEAM
When a family challenge comes up:

You don't have to change everything at once.
One conversation.
One connection.
One small step at a time.
